Childrens Dentistry
At Beckenham Dental Centre we have long prided ourselves on being a family practice, and it is truly a joy to watch those patients we have seen as children, grow up and have children of their own. Indeed we often see three or four generations of the same family.
We aim to see children from the growth of their very first teeth, and we work with their parents to provide advice on toothbrushing technique, and diet advice to keep their teeth and gums clean, healthy and pain free for their lifetime.
Our child patients are seen by our same caring dentists in a calm and friendly environment. Prevention is always better than cure, and we educate parents and children. We also have a dedicated children’s area where our hygienists and therapists run children’s education clinics.
On the occasion that treatment does need to be performed, both patients and parents or guardians are fully informed of the procedures, and feel in control.
We put extra time aside for children during school holidays.
About Us
Our practice has been established since 1973 and we are a committed team of 11 dentists, 5 hygienists and dental nurses dedicated to providing high quality dental care to our patients in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We realise that to many patients continuity is an important consideration. The last thing they want is a different dentist at every visit. We have an incredibly loyal and motivated team, which between them have almost 200 years of service to the practice.
The practice ethos has always been to promote dental health by prevention, whilst repairing the results of time and decay to the highest standard. Combined there is a huge range of experience and expertise to call upon so if you have a specific need there will always be some one within the practice to fulfil it.
