Tooth Whitening

This professional bleaching technique is the most used treatment of lightening up existing shade of teeth.

Whitening is a process where the tooth discolouration is ‘whitened’ to a lighter shade. It removes the staining agent through chemical means. It is a safe procedure when carried out under professional supervision. Treatment results usually depend on the severity of the discolouration. Both vital (i.e. live) and non-vital teeth (e.g. tooth with root removed) can be bleached and may take several visits to complete. It is not effective on dental restorations such as amalgam fillings, metal or porcelain crowns, etc.

Teeth can discolour for various reasons. The dentist will recommend the most ideal method based on your oral condition after an in-office examination to establish the cause and nature of your tooth discolouration, as well as provide you with more information on the various types of whitening procedures available, duration & frequency of treatment.

What people say about our Treatments

Efficient, pleasant and helpful reception staff. I've been a patient there for years and they have always been good. My dentist, Dr Trevor Rogers is amazing! Very knowledgeable, very skilful, and excellent at giving painless injections. He is also very, very nice. And with Jess, his current dental nurse, they make a very good team.

This is a wonderful dental practise. I had two root canals done outside the UK. And I registered as a new patient in this dental surgery and got two crowns for the root canals. My dentist Hania was very patient and did a great job. I was a NHS patient under maternity exception. Although the appointments took long due to NHS queue, the service was excellent. Appointments are well timed and I did not need to waste my time waiting for my appointment. Staff at reception are very nice too. I highly recommend this surgery.

Dr Sharman at the Beckenham Dental Centre is a very friendly and consultative dentist, who takes pride in walking you through the dental process step by step making the visit to the dentist less daunting. I highly recommend anyone with dentista-phobia to be seen by Dr Sharman. I went through whitening and teeth reconstruction and I am 100% satisfied.
